Parking was a nightmare. Finally we found a place to park and paid an obscene amount of money to park for 5 hours ($70.00 after hidden fees). We walked to the museum to discover that it was closed… Full review by Treker650

Nice little tour of the palace in Kona. The guide was very knowledgeable and really cared for the property. It felt like there was a presence there at times. Well worth the time spent. Full review by Pensacola17

It’s really more like a large house with a docent who will prep you with the overview of the house and then will answer questions if you have any. Signage is good and there’s a nice booklet you can buy since you can’t take pictures. Mostly we just drooled over the beautiful aspect and furniture and got the history lesson at the beginning.
Q:
how far from pier is the Palace? Hoping it is within walking distance.
A:
It is very close, certainly less than a half mile and probably less. We stayed a little south of Hulihee palace and walked to the pier many times. Lots of stores and restaurants on the way.
Q:
How much does it cost per person to tour the Palace?
A:
It was $6.00 for each senior and 4 people in our group. Yes, your shoes must be removed but they have paper booties for you to wear while inside. This was in summer. (2015)
Q:
Please send me the information on "Wilhelmina's Tee".... we will be in Kona Sept 19 and 20....
A:
This Daugters of Hawaill website should provide the answers you are seeking once the September calendar is up. I cannot attach the link but a simple search should find it.
