Very difficult hike, no point going 2 miles to the beach because there’s no beach, just rocks and can’t swim. Plan to go all the way to the waterfalls, return is very tricky, slippery rocks and give … Full review by Bk2019june

Great waterfall hike, but beware! The trail is up and down and very, very slick and slippery. Be sure you have good boots, hiking poles, water, some food and first aide. Today we witnessed a Fr… Full review by JRNYSC

Can I currently hike to the trail/falls or has access been closed off due to the recent flooding?

Hey! Responding to your comment on my Q: From my research it appears that the falls are inaccessible due to the flooding that happened in late April. :(
So did you go recently or not? I am trying to figure out what is still closed and what is not but there is so much mixed information out there. Thanks.

Hi Megan! We are here right now also, did you check it out or find any better info? We were hoping to hike it too!
Last time we were in Kauai my wife and I did the trip to the beach no problem. Sadly we didn't have time to make it to the falls and back. My question is this: Is the trail to the falls well marked? I've read yes and no at a couple of different places. Thanks. Fingers crossed for good weather to get the 8 mile round trip hike done this time.

There are some slippey and steep parts. You have to cross the stream around 4 times, so wear hiking sandals that can get wet. I'm glad I did because I fell in!
Where exactly does the trail start? And where is the best place to park?
