As we wound down the road on hairpin after hairpin it opened up to a view that was magical. The pull off for photos was precarious. Full review by rogersober

This is a beautiful spot to admire the green and lush land. It is worth the drive. However, do park in the small area for parking .. park anywhere else and it is dangerous. Full review by LondonFamily88

Scenic and peaceful setting. Looking over the pass you have a sense it could go on forever. Green and lush landscape to be seen. Full review by Readytotravelmorenow
We have a full day/night on the route from Westport area to Giant's Causeway and planned on overnight in the Adara/Letterkenny area for one night. Is this reasonable and a worthwhile stop. We are thinking of driving the Glengesh Pass seeing some waterfalls and possibly visiting the Glenveagh National Park. Is this a worthwhile route or are the roads too meandering to be able to take this are in within the time span

And I didn't answer you about Glenveagh.... We stayed in Donegal two nights, then drove toward Glenveagh on our way to Lock Swilly. The weather was so bad that we couldn't go out on the coast to Malin Head or Fanad lighthouse, so we did go to visit Glenveagh. It was okay, but it was really an American built hunting lodge of the 1800's. Not really an "Irish" place. If you have been to a lot of historic homes, then I don't think that this would be a high priority for you. It's not like a Biltmore House, for instance.... It makes an okay visit for a very rainy, windy day when you have to stay off the coast, but other than that we would not have gone there.... (There are a ton more things to do in Donegal if you are interested in old Irish life....)

Dear Traveller, it depends on which route you take. For example coming from Killybegs it can be done in say 20 minutes as it is all downhill but dangerous in wintertime because of snow and ice. If coming from Ardara I would give myself 30 minutes as it is quite steep. We had a cycle race pass through here last week and it was like something you would see on the hill climbs of the Tour de France alpine stages. So in other words steep and winding which takes time in most cars or especially a Camper van. Either way take your time and enjoy the views !
