The first place was a bakery/coffee shop and we each had half of a large almond crescent. Then we were at a bbq place, where everyone had bbq beef that looked great, but I don't do beef, so I had cheesy macaroni that was the BEST! Then we had a Texas bread grilled cheese sandwich, then Mediterranean fare of falafel hush puppies with hummus, then chicken tacos (from a place that was a famous mobile food truck that is now a restaurant) and then dessert -- macaroons. But I won the contest and my dessert was upgraded to an amazing raspberry & cream crescent roll dipped in white chocolate. The restaurants might vary every time, but when I told LA friends where we ate, they were very well known restaurants. Everything was delicious.
We met downtown at a French cafe opposite Pershing Square. The tour was about three hours long, walking to the various food outlets and sitting during our time there.
