A short run to fabulous blue pools of pure glacial water.

Fairly easy walk from the car park. Sadly the suspension bridge is currently closed for repairs. We did get to follow a smaller track and go right down to the water’s edge. Amazing colour!Full review by 913lizziej

The bridge is closed so there is no access to the pools. The river at the bottom of the bridge is accessible and you can wade in the pool, however, biting sand fys so bring bug sprayFull review by DayTrip49463736424

Driving on Haast Pass and the Mount Aspiring National Park toward Wanaka, we stopped at the sign for the Blue Pools Track as we heard someone mentioning it was a nice spot. We hiked back to the spot…Full review by pkh213
Is this a good place to visit in July (Middle of winter) when I am travelling from Christchurch to Queenstown or is it only good in summer?
A:
West coast weather is not always the best for outdoor activities at your time of travel but access to the Pools is an easy walk. Probably not that spectacular on a rainy day.
I want to take my elderly Auntie on this walk..is there many steps, shes fine a flat surfaces
A:
The pathways are well maintained. However if u want to get to the edge of the water, its quite steep and rocky. You can still enjoy the view from the bridge
